DaySmart Salon Kiosk App

The DaySmart Salon Kiosk app is currently only available on iPads. You can download our app onto your iPad from the apple app store.

  1. After you have downloaded our DaySmart Salon Kiosk app, open it and login using your admin email and password.

  • To prevent any unauthorized access to this client facing product, you'll be required to enter your password every time you tap on the gear icon.

  1. Then, tap on the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner and type in your password again to access your settings. You will have 4 options: Look and Feel, Employee Settings, App Settings, and Log Out.

Look and Feel

  1. Choose light mode or dark mode, background image, and theme color for the app.

  • Changing from light mode to dark mode may involve accessing your device settings. Tapping on the dark mode option will bring up the appropriate directions if they are necessary.

  1. Select your preferred background image from the available choices or tap on the plain option.

  1. Choose a theme color from the options provided.

  1. Your selections on the look and feel screen auto apply when you choose a new setting so you can just tap the back button when you are ready to move on to more Kiosk app settings.

Employee Settings

  1. Choose if clients get to select their stylist. Choose whether to set up and show employee photos. You can take and/or upload photos of your employees from the Kiosk app.

  • The order of the stylists on the select stylist screen will be based on their wait times. Stylists that have the same wait times will be arranged randomly.

  1. Your selections auto applies when you choose a new setting so you can just tap the back button when you are ready.

App Settings

  1. Choose whether your Kiosk app bookings will be added to your appointment book calendar or your waitlist.

  • If you allow bookings to be added to your calendar, wait times will be listed.

  • If you allow bookings to be added to your waitlist, wait times will not be displayed.

  1. Select whether to require or hide client email address field.

  1. Decide whether to use Service Categories.

  • If you do not show Service Categories, then the Services will be individually listed.

  1. Choose whether to add Service Category photos if they are set to show.

  • These photos can be taken and/or added from the Kiosk app.

  1. Finally, select which Services you want to add descriptions to by tapping on Services, and then selecting the category you want to start editing.

  1. This feature auto applies when you choose a new setting so you can just tap the back button when you are ready.

Client Check-in

  1. When clients use the Kiosk app, they will tap on the Check-In button on the welcome screen.

  1. Next, they will be prompted to enter their phone number.

  • If they are recognized as an existing client, they will move right to the next step.

  • If they are not recognized as an existing client, they will be prompted to add their full name and email address.

  1. Then, the client would choose a Service Category if you allowed Service Categories to show.

  • If you choose not to show Service Categories, then they will move right to the next step.

  1. After that, they will choose a Service.

  1. Next, if you have enabled it, they can select an employee.

  • They can also choose the first available employee.

  1. After the client selects the employee, they will see a message on the screen informing them that their booking has been added to the system as either an appointment or a waitlist entry, depending on the settings you chose.
