This article will walk you through how to setup the Tele-Consultations service within your DaySmart Salon account. This service will allow your customers to request consultation times with your business. You will then be able to video chat with your customers before making an appointment with them.
Note: You will need to schedule the actual appointment within the appointment book of the Salon Iris software separately. Notes made during consultation will not appear within the client's profile within Salon Iris. If you wish to save these notes you would need to copy them into the client's profile.


Activating Tele-Consultations

  1. Login to your online DaySmart Salon account.

  2. Select More and then Consults.

  3. Click Activate Service to turn on the service.

Setting Tele-Consultation Availability
Now that you have your Tele-Consultations service active, you will want to set up your availability for when you are able to take consultations.

  1. Select Availability towards the top of the page.

  2. Select the Recurring tab.

  3. Enter a Start Date for when you will accept consultations.

  4. Set a start time and end time.

  5. Select how often this schedule will repeat.

  6. Select which days of the week these times will apply for accepting consultations

  7. Enter an End Date for the schedule.

  8. Press Set Availability.

Setting Service Categories
To allow your customers to make consultations, you will want to set up categories for what services you provide. By default, there will be some categories already displayed. You can remove categories or add categories as needed.

  1. Select Settings towards the top right.

  2. To remove categories that you do not perform, press Delete.

  3. To add a new category, press Add New.

  4. Enter in the category Name.

  5. Enter the Duration.

  6. Select Choose File to upload an image to be used as the background for the category.

  7. Press Save.

Generate Tele-Consult Booking Link for Customers
To have your customers requesting tele-consultations, you will want to generate the website URL for your customers to use.

  1. Select Settings in the top right.

  2. Select the Tele-Consults Link tab.

  3. The link will be copied to your clipboard. Press OK on the pop-up message.

You can now share the link on your social media site along with including it on your business's website. Your customers will want to follow this link in order to create logins for them to begin requesting tele-consults with you and your business.
