These instructions will help you install drivers for Epson receipt printers and configure them to work properly with your DaySmart software.
Downloading Printer Drivers
Though the DaySmart works with most receipt printers, we recommend Epson receipt printers. We have included links below where you can download drivers for the Epson TM T88V and the Epson TM T20II. If you are using different driver, you will need to navigate to Epson's website, and locate your printer to download the driver.
Click on one of the links below corresponding with your printer model.
If you have a printer other than the Epson TM T88V or the Epson TM T20II, click HERE to navigate to Epson's Website and follow the steps below.
Select the type of printer you have.
Select the printer model.
Expand the section for your operating system and press Download Page.
Scroll down and check the box for Accept.
Select Download to begin downloading the driver.
Installing Printer Drivers
Make sure that your printer is connected with a USB cord to your computer and powered on before following the steps below.
Open the file that was downloaded for the driver.
For the T20II select the file labeled APD_511R1_T20II. For the T88V, select the file labeled APD_511R1_T88V.
Press Run. The printer driver installer will then open.
Press Next.
Select Agree.
Press Install.
The driver will then begin to install. Once prompted, press Next.
In the Communication Settings section, Click on the Port Type drop down menu.
Select USB.
Select Save settings.
You will then receive a message stating that your printer settings have been successfully saved. Select Yes to print a test receipt.
Press OK.
If the test receipt printed, select Next.
Press Close.
Your printer should now be setup to print from within Windows. Next you will need to setup the software to use the printer for printing receipts.
Selecting your printer within DaySmart
Go to Tools in the top left corner.
Select Options.
Set the Hardware Setup tab.
Click the Configure Receipt Printer button.
In the Settings section, choose the Use standard full-size Windows printer or USB receipt printer radio bubble.
Click Select on the right and choose your Epson receipt printer. Click OK.
Click the Print Test Receipt button and follow the prompts to print a test receipt.
When the receipt prints successfully, click OK in the Receipt Printer Setup window and return to using your software. The receipt printer is now properly configured to work with your software.
