Selling Gift Cards Online

This article will guide you through enabling and setting up online gift card purchases.

This article explains how to enable the Online Gift Card feature through your Online Booking settings. Once activated, clients will be able to purchase digital gift cards from your Online Booking site. You can turn this feature on at any time and manage it from the Pages and Navigation section in your settings.

βš™οΈEnable Online Gift Cards

These instructions show you how to enable online gift card sales on your Online Booking site. You’ll learn how to access the Online Gift Cards settings, turn the feature on, and make gift cards available for clients to purchase through your website.

  1. From your DaySmart software, click on your name in the top right and select Manage Online Booking.

  2. Click on Online Gift Cards.
    ​

  3. Toggle Sell Online Gift Cards to Yes.
    ​


🎁Set Up Gift Card Options

These instructions explain how to set up online gift card options in your account. You’ll learn how to customize the look of your gift card page, set suggested or custom amounts, add expiration rules, choose and upload designs, write a gift card policy, and save your changes so clients can purchase cards online.

  1. After enabling Online Gift Cards you will now see several options under the Online Gift Cards screen.
    ​

  2. Under General Settings:
    ​

    • Choose your Theme Color that your buttons will appear in on the gift card screen.
      ​

    • Enter a Header logo and/or text to appear on your site. Click Browse to select a logo from your computer
      ​

    • The Preview Link is the link to your gift card screen, and you can send this to your customers if you would like.
      ​

  3. Under Gift Card Amounts:
    ​

    • Add up to five Suggested Amounts.
      ​

    • Enable Custom Amount if you want to allow clients to enter any amount and set a Minimum and Maximum.
      ​

  4. Choose whether or not you want to assign an expiration date to a gift card when it is sold and if so, set the number of days below.
    ​

  5. Under Gift Card Designs, select which of the predesigned gift card templates you want visible and which ones you want featured (only 5 designs can be featured).
    ​

    1. Click the Preview button to see a preview of what the gift card design looks like.
      ​

    2. Click Add New Design to upload your own gift card designs.
      ​

  6. Under Gift Card Policy type in your policy that you would like to appear at the bottom of the order form and in the email your client will receive.

  7. Click Save Changes in the bottom right of your screen.
    ​

Do clients receive digital gift cards immediately?

Yes. Once the gift card is purchased online, the client will receive it by email right away.


Can I customize the gift card page?

Basic text and layout may be controlled through your Online Booking branding settings. Design options are limited but can be managed under Manage Online Booking β†’ Branding.


Can I disable online gift cards later?

Yes. Return to the Pages and Navigation section and click Yes next to Gift Cards to toggle it back to No, then click Save Changes.
