Using Gift Cards with the Cloud Website
Selling a Gift Card
Gift cards will be added to a ticket through checkout. You can add a gift card to an existing ticket when going through the checkout process, or go to the Checkout page to sell the gift card to a client who does not have an appointment scheduled.
Click Buy Gift Card under Add Items.
Enter in the Gift Card #, Amount that will be granted on the card, and Expiration Date if needed. If the gift card does not expire, check off No Expiration Date.
Each gift cards needs a unique number. If you enter a gift card number that is already in use, you will be prompted to enter a different number.
If you are selling a physical gift card, put the numbers on the back of the physical gift card in as the Gift Card #. This will link the physical gift card to the software.
Click Add to Order.
You can then close the ticket like you normally would, by clicking on Proceed to Payments. When you do close the ticket, you will receive a pop-up message stating that the gift card has been purchased.
Redeeming a Gift Card
Create a ticket and Select the client.
Add the services and/or products the client wishes to purchase.
Continue to checkout by either of the following:
Click on the appointment on the appointment book and click Check-In, then Check Out.
Click on the Checkout button at the top menu bar and select the client under In Today.
Click on Proceed to Payments.
Under Add Payment, select the option for Gift Card.
Enter the Gift Card # and the amount that the client will use from the existing gift card.
Click Add Payment.
You can then close out the ticket as you normally would.
If there is still a balance remaining on the gift card, you can view that by going to the Gift Cards screen.
Editing/viewing a Gift Card
Go to the More drop-down item and select Gift Cards.
Click on the gift card you wish to edit. You can use the search bar in the upper left-hand corner to find the gift card you are looking for.
You can now change the gift card balance, expiration date, and comments. You can also view the gift card usage under History.
In the Gift Cards screen, select Options in the upper right-hand corner.
You can allow gift cards to be re-sold to a different client after the balance reaches zero by sliding the switch to Yes.
You can also automatically assign an expiration date to a gift card when it is sold or requires gift cards to contain an expiration date from this page as well.
Click Save when you are done making changes.
Using Gift Cards with the Mobile App
Selling a Gift Card
Create a ticket and select the client for the ticket by using the shopping cart icon in the upper right-hand corner. If the client already has an appointment scheduled, you can tap on the appointment and then select Check Out.
Under Services and Products, tap on Show More.
Select Add Gift Card.
Enter the Gift Card ID, Card Value, and Expiration Date if needed.
Press Add Gift Card.
You can then close the ticket as you normally would by continuing through Payment Details.
Redeeming a Gift Card
Create a ticket and select the client.
Add the items the customer wishes to purchase.
Continue to checkout by either tapping on the appointment and selecting Checkout, or you can use the shopping cart icon in the upper right-hand corner of the appointment book screen.
In the Payment Details section, under Add Payment, use the drop-down menu to select Gift Card.
Enter the gift card number.
Enter the amount to be redeemed and press Redeem.
Continue closing out the ticket as you normally would.
You will then receive a notification of the client's gift card balance.
Editing a Gift Card
Tap on More at the bottom of the screen.
Select Gift Cards.
Select the gift card you wish to edit. You can search for the gift card using the search bar at the top.
From here you can tap on the specific details you wish to edit on the gift card such as the outstanding balance, expiration date, and comment. You can also view the gift card usage under History.
Press *Save* in the top right when finished.
