Payroll Settings Overview

The software can calculate your business' employee payroll values for hourly pay, product commission and service commission. Note that Payroll and Payroll settings can only be accessed form the cloud website and not the mobile apps.

Payroll Settings

  1. Go to More -> Payroll

  2. Towards the top right corner select Payroll Settings.

  3. Select your Pay Cycle Frequency. This can be set to Weekly, Every 2 Weeks, Every 3 Weeks or Every 4 weeks.

  4. If you provide overtime wages, enable Calculate overtime wages for employees.

    1. Set how many hours an employee needs to reach over either a day, week, or 2 weeks.

    2. You can then set the amount their pay will be multiplied by if they do receive overtime hours.

    3. Press Add Criteria to add criteria that the employee needs to meet in order to receive overtime pay.

  5. For calculating commission on products, select whether the commission will be based on the retail price of the product or the profit generated from the product.

  6. Press Save to save your changes.

Backbar & Bonus
If you have services or products that have a bonus amount or a backbar amount associated with them, you can set these values by following the directions below.

  1. Go to More -> Payroll.

  2. Towards the top right corner select Backbar & Bonus.

  3. Select either Services or Products along the left side.

  4. In the search bar, enter and select the service you wish to setup bonus or backbar for. (Note: Products can only have a bonus applied to them)

  5. Enter in the Bonus and Backbar amount.

  6. Select whether backbar is calculate before or after commission is calculated.

  7. Press Save to save your changes.

Wages & Commission

Commission Profiles
Within the software, you can setup commission profiles for your employees. This will allow you to quickly setup multiple employees that have the same commission percentages and would allow you to quickly setup new employees.

  1. Go to More -> Payroll.

  2. Towards the top right corner select Wages & Commission.

  3. Select Add New Profile.

  4. Set the Profile Name for the commission profile.

  5. Set the Service Commission Rate to either None, Fixed Rate or Sliding Scale.

    1. For Fixed rate, simply enter in the commission percentage an employee will receive if they have this profile set.

    2. For Sliding scale, enter in the range of sales that the employee would need to reach and the commission percentage for that range. Press Add More to setup additional ranges. Finally set the value for Sales above $.

  6. Set the Product Commission Rate to either None, Fixed Rate or Sliding Scale.

    1. For Fixed rate, simply enter in the commission percentage an employee will receive if they have this profile set.

    2. For Sliding scale, enter in the range of sales that the employee would need to reach and the commission percentage for that range. Press Add More to setup additional ranges. Finally set the value for Sales above $.

  7. Press Save when you are finished setting up your commission profile.

Employee Wages & Commission
To setup employee hourly pay rates, commission values, service and product commission exceptions or even just assign a commission profile to an employee, see the directions below.

  1. Go to More -> Payroll.

  2. Towards the top right corner select Wages & Commission.

  3. Set the employee you wish to set wages and commission for.

  4. If you have a commission profile created that you wish to you, select the profile name at the top of the window.

  5. Select either None or Fixed Amount for the Hourly Rate.

  6. If you only want to pay your employee their hourly rate or commission, based on whichever value is higher, the option for "Hourly Rate or Commission Rate, whichever is higher"

  7. Set the Service Commission Rate to either None, Fixed Rate or Sliding Scale.

    1. For Fixed rate, simply enter in the commission percentage an employee will receive if they have this profile set.

    2. For Sliding scale, enter in the range of sales that the employee would need to reach and the commission percentage for that range. Press Add More to setup additional ranges. Finally set the value for Sales above $.

    3. If you have services that the employee would receive a different commission percentage for, click in the search bar under Add Service Exceptions and select the service in question. You can then set the commission, bonus and backbar amount specific to this service.

  8. Set the Product Commission Rate to either None, Fixed Rate or Sliding Scale.

    1. For Fixed rate, simply enter in the commission percentage an employee will receive if they have this profile set.

    2. For Sliding scale, enter in the range of sales that the employee would need to reach and the commission percentage for that range. Press Add More to setup additional ranges. Finally set the value for Sales above $.

    3. If you have products that the employee would receive a different commission percentage for, click in the search bar under Add Product Exceptions and select the product in question. You can then set the commission and bonus amount specific to this service.

  9. Press Save when you are finished setting up your commission profile.
