These instructions outline printer compatibility and setup tips for DaySmart. ⚠️ Please Note:
A full-sized printer is supported but may not format receipts ideally.
Other printers (like Star or HP) may work if installed as Windows printers, but they are not officially supported. If installation issues arise, please contact the manufacturer directly.
DaySmart officially supports Epson receipt printers. Below is a non-exhaustive list of models that work with our software (USB or Serial interface):
Epson TM-T88VI (Recommended for Windows 11)
Epson TM-T88V
Epson TM-T88IV
Epson TM-T88III
Epson TM-T20
Epson TM-T20II
Epson TM-T20III (Recommended for Windows 11)
Epson TM-U220
For mobile users: Ensure your printer supports AirPrint (iOS) or is compatible with Android, and that it's on the same local network as your device.

⚠️ Please Note:
Serial and Parallel connections are older technologies and are not commonly supported on modern computers. Even with adapters, these setups can be unreliable and may require additional drivers. For best results, we strongly recommend using a USB printer connection whenever possible.
The way your printer connects to your computer is called the Interface:
USB Printers: Connect via a USB cable. These are fully supported.
Serial (COM) Printers: Supported as long as the driver is installed.
Parallel Interface Printers: Not officially supported, but often work if drivers are available.
Serial Printers are unique: they don’t need extra drivers, since our software can communicate directly with the COM port. However, many modern computers don’t have serial/COM ports. In this case, use a USB-to-Serial adapter to connect.
